We don’t need to mention that brakes are important….or driving with bad ones can cause problems no one wants to have. There are many tell-tale signs that make you aware that your brakes need attention. It could be the built-in alarm that starts to squeal when the pads get worn, or more serious scrapes and raspy noises. Possibly pedal-fade or your vehicle pulls to one side or the other when you apply the brakes. From drum brakes to disc, calipers and rotors, or shoes and pads, we take care of them all including models equipped with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). Our technicians know every part of your brake system from power assist to hydraulic cylinders and will always perform service in accordance with your vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations.

Brake Inspection

An important way to save money on costly repairs is preventative maintenance. We recommend having your brakes inspected every 12,000 miles or once a year. As brake components wear down, a pro-active brake inspection will identify how much mileage is left on components at each wheel. You’re then able to have inexpensive items (such as pads or shoes) replaced before they cause damage and scars on other parts. If the inspection shows a need for further repairs, we’ll give you options and cost estimates. All three of the Austin’s Pro Max locations have a ‘no-appointment-necessary‘ service to make sure you have brakes that keep you safe.
